Contactor and your account

Contactor — HVAC Portal is provided by DECODATION LLC. These terms describe use of the app and its connected features. Keep account information accurate and your access credentials secure. Do not access another person's account or misuse the app's services. Contact support@decodation.com about access, billing or content concerns.

Field tools, AI and learning

Calculators, reference tables, manuals, field records and AI assistance support qualified judgment. Check inputs, units, applicable equipment, manufacturer requirements and results before use. AI can produce incorrect or incomplete information; a model or manual search result does not establish compatibility, a diagnosis or authorization to perform work.

School and EPA practice content is study material. Completing lessons or quizzes does not award EPA certification, a license or continuing-education credit. Obtain required certification through an authorized testing or licensing organization.

Do not use the app as an emergency service, safety control or replacement for qualified training. Follow applicable laws, manufacturer instructions and appropriate safety procedures. Do not bypass interlocks, vent refrigerant, mix incompatible refrigerants or perform work beyond your qualifications.

Suppliers, prices and bookings

Supplier listings, promotions, refrigerant prices and distances are informational and may change. Confirm price, tax, availability, compatibility and pickup details directly with the supplier. A booking request is subject to supplier response; it is not proof of a confirmed appointment. Third-party goods and services are provided by the relevant supplier.

Your content and the community

Post only content you have the right to share. Do not publish private customer information, credentials, unlawful material, harassment, threats, spam or false offers. You remain responsible for notes, photos, offers and forum contributions you submit. Public posts and supplier listings can be viewed by other users. Contact support@decodation.com to report content or request help. Content controls and moderation available in the app can vary by released version; these terms do not imply that pending moderation features are already deployed.

Subscriptions, purchases and refunds

The purchase screen and relevant provider specify the product, price, billing period and renewal terms. App Store and Google Play subscriptions renew under the applicable store terms until canceled. Manage or cancel renewal in the store account used to purchase. Website checkout is handled by Stripe and its checkout displays the applicable payment terms; current website plan purchases are one-time payments.

Use the app's restore or status controls for supported paid-access verification. Payment status must be confirmed by the provider; a failed connection does not prove that a charge or subscription did not occur. Refund requests and applicable consumer rights are governed by the provider's rules and applicable law. Nothing in these terms states that every payment is non-refundable or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy, permissions and service availability

See the privacy policy for the information processed by the app and current retention limitations. Location, camera/photo and notification permissions are used for relevant features; declining a permission can limit those features. Connected services need internet access. Local tools and saved data may have different offline behavior. Availability, historical records and successful delivery of notifications cannot be guaranteed in every environment.

Features and these terms may be updated. The dated text is available here. Contact support@decodation.com for help, privacy requests or questions. These terms do not promise a notification method that has not been implemented, and do not change the terms of a third-party provider.
